The Greatest could be one of the last to win in the colours of Mr H. G. C. McLachlan.

My Pal gelding.

Krazikid was closest to the pace-maker. Sir Limond, going to the half-mile, and went clear soon after.

As the winner of four sprint races early in the season, Krazikid had the speed at the end of a slowly-run race to win by half a length from Royal Blue, which finished well clear of the others.
