IN Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. It was hoped to send nine yachtsmen to the Olympic Games at Acapulco, said H. D. Poole, chairman of the New Zealand Yachting Federation Olympic sub-committee, yesterday. Poole, a competitor in the national Flying Dutchman Olympic trials off Pakatoa Island, is also the N.Z.Y.F. delegate to the Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association. The N.Z.Y.F.’s plan, said Mr Poole, would be to send crews in the Finn, Flying Dutchman (in which New' Zealand will be the defending champion) and Dragon classes. These yachts would have six crew and there would also need to be two reserves and a manager.
