THIGH-HIGH BOOTS carried Miss Penny Carl’s colour scheme of black and white from head to toe. With her black-and-white houndstooth-check coat-drpss, zipped at the bodice and cuffs, she matched a black mink hat, black boots reaching to mid-thigh, and black accessories. The silk cravat was ming blue. Miss Cart, formerly of Christchurch, is now living in Sydney.
