Upset By Koreans
(N Z.P A.-Reuter) MELBOURNE. A South Korean pair, Kim Chung Yong and Choi Jung Suk, caused an upset by beating the top-seeded Nobuhiko Hasegawa and Yasuko Konno of Japan in a semi-final of the mixed doubles at the South-East Asia Pacific area table tennis championships yesterday. Kim and Miss Choi will meet Shigeo Ito and Kierno Fukuno of Japan in the final. Mixed Doubles. Second round: T. Quinn and J. Brown (New Zealand) beat D. P. Pinkewich and L. Nicholson (Aust.), 21-11, 21-17. 22-20. Quarterfinal: Kim Chung Yong and Choi Jung Suk (South Korea) beat T. Quinn and .1. Brown (New Zealand), 21-14. 21-14, 21-17. Semi-finals: S. Ito and M. Fukuno (Japan) beat Chu Chang Suk and Choi Hwan Hwan (South Korea), 21-11, 22-20, 21-0;-Kim Chung Yong and Choi Jung Suk (South Korea) beat N. Hase gawa and Y. Konno (Japan). 20-22. 17-21, 21-13. 21-19. 21-17.
