Three Third Placings To N.Z. Water Skier

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Miss J. Hole (Waikato), the national women’s champion, was placed third in three events of the zone three (Australia, New Zealand and the Far East) water ski-ing championships at Adelaide yesterday. The chairman of the Auck land Regional Water Ski As sociation (Mr D. W. Rallison) received the information by telephone from Adelaide lasi evening. Miss Hole spent the day water ski-ing after having penicillin injections for a severe throat infection. In the slalom event she was beaten by the Australians, Misses M. Ward and K. Thurlow. With a points total of 1430, which was well below her best, she also finished behind Misses Ward (1740) and Thurlow (2257) in the tricks. She cleared 67ft to finish third in the jump. Misses Thurlow and Ward cleared 90ft and 88ft respectively. Another of the four-member New Zealand team, P. Reeve (Waikato) came fifth in the slalom, fifth in the tricks
