SHOOTING CHARGE
(N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, April 15. A 42-year-oid rabbiter, Edward Owen Stoneham, of Matata, appeared in the Whakatane Magistrate's Court today before Mr G. H. Whyte, Justice of the Peace, charged with discharging a .303 rifle in a manner likely to injure or endanger the safety of any person. Stoneham was reminded on bail of $2OO to May 7 at the request of Detective A. Morrison, of Whakatane. The charge follows an incident at Matata on Saturday night. No plea was taken.
Professor E. F. Osborne, M.A., 8.D., Ph.D., professor of Biblical studies at Queen’s College, Melbourne, has been appointed associate editor of Colloquium, an Australian and New Zealand theological review. The Colloquium, which started in 1965 as the New Zealand Theological Review, will complete a second volume of eight issues this year.
