INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC
(N.Z. PA. -Reuter— Copyright) SUVA, April 15. The influenza epidemic on the Fijian island owned by the American television actor, Raymond Burr, is under control. The actor reported by radio today that an air drop yesterday of urgent medical supplies to the island of Naitaumba, 160 miles north-east of Suva, was successful. Burr, who is visiting the copra plantation on his island, asked for supplies to treat 100 of the island’s 180 inhabitants affected by the epidemic.
