Dancer Loses All Gear
(N.Z. Press Association) HASTINGS, April 14. A 20-yearold dancing competitor who had to dive overboard from the stricken Wahine on Wednesday had a happier experience yesterday when she was placed third in a sailor’s hornpipe event at the Highland Games. She is Miss Annette Here, who last danced at the Highland Games when she was eight She had intended flying from Dunedin with her parents but because of a business engagement in Wellington crossed earlier by ship. That voyage cost her the loss of all her clothing and dancing gear. She estimates the loss at nearly $BOO. Her parents brought her spare gear lent by a dancing companion in Dunedin.
