UNLUCKY RIDER.—H. Owen, of Blenheim, throws up a cloud of dust as he accelerates his C.Z. out of a fast bend during the New Zealand 500 c.c. scramble championship at Halswell last Sunday. He led the race for one lap before crashing. He was taken to hospital with a dislocated shoulder. Earlier in the day he won the 500 c.c. scratch race for the Bums Trophy.
