Meads nears test record

TF the All Blacks lock, C. E. Meads, continues to play first-class Rugby this year he will become the holder of the record for the most test appearances in international Rugby. Meads has played 42 tests already and. if he plays in the two tests against Australia, and the three against France this year, he will pass the record of 46 caps

held by the great Irish first five-eighths, J. W. Kyle. Kyle played for Ireland between 1947 and 1958, Meads’s test career from 1957 to 1968 will have spanned the same number of years.
