FAVOURITES ROUTED
Supporters of favourites had to wait until Fort Nelson won the last race before they gained success at Addington Raceway. The run of big dividends, ranging from $9.05 by Allakasam to $59.60 by Global Haze, was reflected In on-course turnover, which showed a drop over last year. This was off-set by a rise In off-course turnover. Apart from Fort Nelson’s $2.30, the only other win dividend of reasonable proportions was Golden Fleece’s $5.60. The meeting was held in nearperfect weather before a crowd of 8750.
On-course turnover amounted to $191,164, including $31,380 tn doubles, compared with $200,173
Off-course the turnover was $218,310.50, including $102,385.50 on the double, against $181,298.50.
