Rowing Record In Prospect
CN.Z. Press Association) CAMBRIDGE. Wanganui Collegiate will try to create a new record of six successive wins when 18 schoolboy eights contest the Maadi Cup at Wanganui tomorrow and Saturday. Wanganui shares the present record with Mount Albert Grammar, which had five successive wins between 1954 and 1958. Three crews from the South Island are entered—Christ’s College, St Andrew’s College and St Bede’s College.
Open Tourney.—The Australians, L. A. Hoad and F. Sedgman, are two former Wimbledon champions booked to appear in the open West of England tennis championships at Bristol, starting on June 10. W. D. and H. O. Wills will sponsor the championships.
