RIGHT ROYAL IS LAME
"The Press" Special Service PALMERSTON NORTH. The field for the Manawatu Sires' Produce Stakes was reduced further just after noon yesterday by the withdrawal of Right Royal. His scratching, coupled with that of Weenell earlier, has put an entirely different complexion on the race. Right Royal, which galloped boldly with Palamoe yesterday morning, pulled up well. However, two hours later he was unable to walk. A veterinary surgeon who inspected him said the colt seemed to have a chipped bone in the near foreleg.
