The annual meeting of the Hanmer Springs sub-centre of the Red Cross Society was told that $4B had been contributed to various funds and 328 new garments had been handed in. Officers elected:—Patron, Dr T. C. Maling; patroness, Mrs M. Morse; president, Mrs K. C. Ensor; vice-presidents, Mesdames T. C. Maling, D. Stavert, M. Graves, E. G. Rutherford, Misses M. Parsons and M. Petre; committee, Mesdames N. Lammas, O. Laws, J. Stevenson, A. Green, L. Durose, F. McMurray, M. Manson, D. Atkinson; secretary, Mrs I. H. Atkinson; treasurer, Mrs G. Shaw; knitting convenor, Miss M. Parsons; sewing convener, Mrs 0. Laws and Mrs N. Lammas; junior Red Cross organiser, Mrs A. Green; junior committee, Mrs A. Stevenson and Mrs T. C. Maling.
