EXPRESS DELAYED
The express from Invercargill was delayed about 80 minutes last evening when the engine broke down at Hinds. A driving rod broke and pierced a piston. An engine was taken from a Christchurch-bound goods train at Ashburton. The express arrived in Chrisitchurch just after 9 p.m. The Wahine was delayed until 10.17 p.m.
