Outdated Computer

An eight-year-old but already obsolete computer joined century-old exhibits in the Museum of Transport and Technology today, after being brought from the Treasury in Wellington by road overnight. One of the computer’s main jobs was the Public Service pay roll, but it was replaced by more modern equipment last year. It produced 150 lines a minute, compared with 1100 by its modern counterparts.
