(N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Mar. 19. A $2228 tractor that cost a farmer the equivalent of 19 bales of wool in 1966 now cost $2356 and took 28} bales of wool to purchase, the chairman of the Wool Board (Mr J. Acland) told the electoral committee today. In 1966 three tons of fencing wire cost about $504 or 4} bales of wool. Today the price of the wire was down to $483 but the wire cost 5} bales of wool or 6} bales without supplement, said Mr Acland.
