Govt Gives £125,000

In order that the British team for the 1968 Olympic Gaines in Mexico City shall be the best possible, the British Government is to contribute a minimum of £125,000. Announcing this. Mr Denis Howell, the minister responsible for sport, said: “We have provided all the financial assistance we have been asked to provide. “No one will be left out who can participate with distinction, and we hope to blood some young talent as well. Everyone that the governing bodies of the individual sports wishes to go, will go.”
