Cambridge Grant
Dr N. Taptiklis, the Travers Trust research fellow in the Hugh Adams department of cancer research at the University of Otago, has been awarded the Meres Scholarship for postgraduate research in cancer at Cambridge University. Dr Taptiklis will take up his award in October and the scholarship will be for at least three years. Dr Taptiklis graduated doctor of medicine from the University of Athens. He came to New Zealand in 1947 and, after graduating M.8.Ch.8. from the University of Otago Medical School, began in general practice in Tauranga. He took up his appointment as Travers Trust Fellow in 1964.
