Objection To Tavern
(From Our Own Reporter)
WELLINGTON, Mar. 12. One objection to a tavern licence in Bishopdale has been received by the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board. A board spokesman confirmed this today, but said he could not name the objector. He could not indicate when the hearing would be. The Licensing Control Commission decided on June 20, that a new tavern licence was desirable at Bishopdale. After subsequent hearings, the commission decided that the provisional licence held by the Albion Hotel, Lyttelton, could be removed to Bishopdale. The authorisation for this was issued in a judgment released on November 16.
The statutory period allowed for the filing of objections expired yesterday.
