Merito In Rugby Squad
D. Merito, a leading try scorer for University A in Dunedin last winter, has been included in the Canterbury Maori Rugby squad to play the touring Fijian team at Rugby Park on March 27. The squad of 21 is:— Backs: G. J. Wattereus, R. Wards, J. McDonald, Merito, B. Kerr, M. Kydd, P. Morton, B. Hepi, S. Carr, P. Sheahan. Forwards: N. Moffat, J. Joseph, T. Morton, G. Garlick, T. Tuhuru, V. Baker, T. Raroa, R. Wainohu (captain), V. Blake, D. Skipper, L. Kakahi.
