Houses Sold
A two-storey wooden house with three flats and four flatettes on a residential B section of 49 perches at 413 Worcester Street was sold at a public auction on Monday for $13,000. The flats have been returning $59.50 a week. The rates are $99.99. The auctioneer was Mr J. L. T. Dyer, of George Anderson and Son, Ltd, who sold the property on behalf of the trustees of the estate of Annie Maria Burrows. A house on a 10 perch section at 43 Haast Street, Avonside, was also sold at auction by Mr Dyer for $2700. The Government valuation is $2550. The property was offered on behalf of Mr D. Dickson.
