BARTLETT REPLIES
(N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM. “I’d like to bowl a lot faster than the slow dribbly stuff I bowled at Christchurch,” G. A. Bartlett said yesterday. He had been asked to comment on a statement by the manager of the Indian cricket team, Mr Ghulam Ahmed, who said that it was wrong that “such players (indicating Bartlett) should be selected.” He accused Bartlett, who has been selected for the fourth test at Auckland, of throwing.
Bartlett declined to comment further on Mr Ahmed’s statement.
