(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 7.

The Auckland City Council is hastening plans for projects worth $1 million in an effort to help relieve unemployment in the coming months.

The projects are the reconstruction of the Auckland Art Gallery ($500,000), the Glen Innes Swimming Pool, and stage one of the Grattan Street redevelopment in Freeman’s Bay.

The council tonight approved action taken by the Mayor (Dr R. G. McElroy) in having the plans accelerated.
