Short Course Junior.—Miss C. J. Whiting (Canterbury), 220 yards freestyle, 2mln 26.8 sec; Miss D. McRae (Bay of Plenty). 220 yards breaststroke, 2mip 55.45ec.
Accreditation Six professional coaches from the North Island were granted accreditation by the council, They were Messrs C. J. Chambers, D. J. Lyons, M. A. Stanton, and Mrs M. P. Lye, all of Auck land, and Messrs A. V. Guthrie (Rotorua) and D. A. Gallon (New Plymouth).
