Lenten Studies
No attempt would be made this year to conduct a nationwide series of Lenten studies similar to those held last year by the member churches of the National Council of Churches, the general secretary of the council (the Rev. D. M. Taylor) said yesterday. It was hoped, however, that a similar effort to last year would be made next year on a much bigger scale. Mr Taylor said that pamphlets that were being recommended to those who wished to conduct their own studies, were the World Council of Churches’ publication, “All Things New,” and “Renewal,” a series of studies produced by the Missionary and Ecumenical Council of the Church of England and the Australian Council of Churches.
