CN.Z. Press Association) TIMARU, Feb. 5. Timaru had its liveliest wool sale for several years today and gained the best price—«o}c (72id) — paid for fine wools In recent seasons. Buyers bid keenly for the Mackenzie Country clip, and Merino wools averaged prices at least 5 per cent
higher than at Christchurch in January. Halfbred fleece was fully 2} per cent dearer. Crossbred fleece was slightly in sellers’ favour, compared with last week’s Invercargill sale, and lambs* wool also improved on recent rates. (Report, Back Page)
