Palisade And Next Please To Meet
The brilliant four-year-old, Next Please, and the 10-year-old Palisade are rivals for the Provincial Handicap, first leg of the Canterbury Jockey Club’s T.A.B. double at Riccarton tomorrow.
Next Please earned favouritism for the Provincial Handicap with an easy win in the Midsummer Handicap yesterday.
But Palisade showed some signs of his greatness of two seasons ago on his recent Trentham campaign and he could be a formidable rival for Next Please if D. P. Wilson decides to bring him north.
Biliy Jo, Red Chips, and Tumble, the principals in the finish of the Craven Plate yes-
terday, will meet again in the Amuri Handicap, the second leg of the T.A.B. double tomorrow. If they have held their form they should again dominate the finish. There will be an on-course double on the Malvern Highweight and the Pareroa Handicap. Selections: —
