M. Lattimore’s possible at 600 yards and a total of 104 points won him the trophy for the day at the Ashburton Rifle Club’s shoot. •
A Baynes, also with 104, was second, beaten by Lattimore’s higher score at the longest range. In the Timaru club phoot, J. Scott scored the top score of 93 and also won the Gold Rifle. The event was a long-range championship shoot with a 20shot match at 600 yards. In the Waiau club event, held over two 500 yard matches, B. Hoban Aired a possible in»his score of 99 points out of 100.
