In the doubles competition, R. Taylor (England) and C. Drysdale (South Africa) beat N. Pilic (Jugoslavia) and P. Barthes (France), 31-29, 3031, 54.
Licence Restored. — The former heavy-weight champion. Sonny Liston, has been given back his boxing licence by the California Athletic Commission. Massachusetts and Nevada are the only other states to grant Liston a licence.
First Fro.—The secretary of the New Zealand Professional Golfers' Association. N. Hayden, has been appointed the first resident professional for the Manukau Golf Club, at Manurewa.
