Fijians Beat King Country

NEW PLYMOUTH. The touring Fiji cricket team yesterday beat King Country by eight wickets with 15 minutes to spare, in a one* day game at Te Kulti. King Country scored 159 and then dismissed the Fijians for 114. King Country then made 59 runs in its second innings for the loss of five wickets and declared, setting Fiji a target of 104. Fiji made the runs required for the loss of only two wickets. The top score wss B. Helb* net’s 48 for Fiji. The top King Country score was J. Jsmieson’s 43. For King Country, N. Fisher took four Fijian wickets for 26 runs, and G. Carter three for 19.
