Little interest was shown in yesterday’s vegtable market. Few lines were forwarded for sale and all types of vegetables were hard to sell. Strawberries and raspberries were in short supply, prices being silmiar to those last week. Nelson peppers were in plentiful supply and sold well. A line of field mushrooms also sold weU. Other fruit and vegetable prices supplied by the Christchurch Fruit and Vegetable Wholesalers’ Association were:— Marrows.—4oc to 00c a case. Silver Beet.—2oc to 30c a ease.
