Hundreds of secondary and primary school teachers will leave Australia this year to take up teaching posts in Canada. At least 100 of them will accept jobs in Toronto alone when the Canadian school year begins on September 1. Mr N. A. Sweetman, school superintendent for the Toronto Board of Education, and Mr W. K. Baily, assistant superintendent of Toronto’s secondary schools, have been on a recruiting drive for teachers in Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney.
