CRICKET OFF
Games Next Saturday The four senior cricket games which had dominated the first day’s play of the seventh round of matches—Sydenham, Rtcearton, west ChristchurchUniversity and Lancaster Park —will not lose their advantage because ram forced the postponement of play on Saturday. The round will be continued next Saturday. Because an extra Saturday will be available at the end of March the competition* tub-committee of the Canterbury Cricket Association decided that the matches would be carried over.
However, should another day be lost because of rain this teaion the matches will be absndoned. This will enable the tenth round of competition play to end on the last weekend tn Match. Scores with One day to play are:—
Sydenham 352/8 declared v. High School Old Boys; Rlccarton 242 V. Old Collegians 74/4; Lancaster Park 312 v. Bast Christchurch-Shirley 48/2: West Chrlstchurch-UniverSlty 242 v. St Alban* M/1.
