Rugby Win To Welsh
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) CARDIFF.
Wales, which finished bottom of the international championship table last season, beat Scotland 5-0 on Saturday to score its first win in its last eight Rugby internationals.
A try by K. Jones in the sixteenth minute, converted by K. Jarrett, was sufficient to give Wales a deserved victory.
The recast team, with six changes from the side which drew with England a fortnight ago, could not score again, but it had the better of the play and Scotland rarely looked like breaking the defence. ’
