OUTSTANDING ALL-ROUNDER

rpHE Fijian cricket captain, N. M. Uluiviti, who rewrote the record books for fast scoring in New Zealand when he scored a century in 38 minutes against Otago is one of the finest all rounders produced by Fiji. Uluiviti, who went to school in New Zealand at Wanganui Technical College where he played in the first XV and first XI, played representative cricket for Wanganui while still at school. While at Auckland University he represented his

university at both Rugby and cricket and also played for Auckland at cricket and Rugby. Uluiviti played in the All Black trials in 1956 and was regarded by many competent judges as the best attacking centre in the North Island, An Injury prevented him from appearing in the final trials. When he returned to Fiji, Uluiviti was chosen for his country at both cricket and Rugby and made a fine impression as an attacking full-back when he played in New Zealand.
