Star Drops Libel Claim
(N.Z.P.A. -Reuter —Copyright) MONZA (Italy), Jan. 24. The Italian film star, Gina Lollobrigida, has dropped a libel suit against a magazine which quoted her as saying she preferred “violent, brutal men such as lorry-drivers.” Miss Lollobrigida, who said she had been misquoted, dropped the case after the magazine, “Kent,” agreed to publish an apology and pay the damages due to her to Sicilian earthquake victims. The amount was not disclosed.
