RIFLE CLUB RESULTS
' J. Scott won the gold rifle i contest with 98 points when the Timaru District Rifle Club held a competition shoot in good conditions. R. H. Black was second with 97 points. The highest score off the rifle was J. Whitham at the Sydenham club shoot. He had scores of 47 and 50 at 500 yards. Results were: Timaru: Scott, 500 yd 49, 500 yd 49, total, 98; Black, 48. 49, 97; A. J. Smith, 48, 48, 96: F. J. Black, 46, 49, 95; J. Bennett, 48, 47, 95. Sydenham: Whitham, 500 yd 47, 500 yd 50, handicap 2, total 99; B. Cleary, 49, 46, 4, 99; C. Hart, 42, 47, 9, 98; C. McKay, 45, 44, 9. 98; P Le Cren, 49, 48. scr, 97. Rangiora: JT. Posa. 300 yd 43, 300 yd 47, handicap 4, total 94; B. Hyde. 45, 41, 6. 92: A. Tyler, 44, 42, 3, 89; T. Cooke. 36. 43, 9. 88. ■ Waiau: R.
