Thanked By Sihanouk

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 26. The Cambodian Head of State, Prince Norodom Sihanouk, has written to the New Zealand Peace Council thanking it for urging the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) to dissociate New Zealand from any action violating Cambodia’s neutrality. “During two world wars New Zealanders fought heroically against a power that had invaded the greater part of Europe. It would be difficult for us to conceive that they would participate with a clear conscience in a similar war of aggression in Asia.” the Prince said in his letter.
