More Flights Wanted

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 24. Canadian Pacific Airlines wants to make more flights to New Zealand to cope with an increasing demand from Canadian tourists. Mr H. D. Cameron, vicepresident of the company’s international affairs division, said in Auckland today that the decision hinged on whether the Australian Government would approve a similar increase. “At the moment, we are only operating one flight every fortnight into Auckland, but we would like to make this a weekly service,” he said.

“If we can persuade the Australians to take a similar increase, then we shall want to come back to New Zealand for talks with your Government.”
