RECRUITING DRIVE
Parachutists At Burnham Six members of a Special Air Service ranger squadron will “drop in” to Burnham Military Camp this morning to discuss recruiting with men of the Ist Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment, especially those who have had service in South-East Asia. The six men—one officer, three senior n.c.o.s, and two junior n.c.o.s—will drop to Burnham from a DC3 of No. 42 Squadron of the Royal New Zealand Air Force. They are expected to land on the grass airstrip alongside the territorial camp. Equipment used by the S.A.S. will be demonstrated and later the parachutists will interview soldiers interested in joining the service.
