More Locos From Japan
(From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, Jan. 24. Seven more DJ class dieselelectric locomotives for New Zealand Railways are due to arrive at Lyttelton tomorrow aboard the Japanese vessel Kibi Maru. Built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd, they form the second shipment of an order for 64 of these 1050 h.p. triple-bogie locomotives, which will eventually take over many of the South Island’s main-line trains from steam locomotives.
