MEETING OF ROTARY
U.S. Judge To Speak
Judge H. C. Kessinger, of New Jersey, U.S.A., will be one of the guest speakers at the annual conference of Rotary International, District 298, in Christchurch from February 23 to February 25. Other speakers at the conference, which will be held at Cashmere High School, will include the Chief Justice (Sir Richard Wild), Dr C. P. McMeeken, of the World Bank, the Rev. R. A. Lowe, vicar of St Barnabas Church, Fendalton, and Mr G. Burns, the editor of the Christchurch “Star”.
Judge Kessinger, who has served four terms as judge of the Municipal Court of Ridgewood, New Jersey, has been a member of Rotary since 1943 and has been a Rotary International director. He has been connected with many service organisations in the United States, including the Boy Scouts, the Y.M.C.A., the Chamber of Commerce, and the New Jersey Committee on Education in International Affairs.
