COMPOSER WINS
Deportation Feared fN.Z P .4 -Reuter—Copyright) ATHENS, January 23. The Greek composer, Mikis Theodorakis, within sight of freedom after almost six months in gaol, faces the possibility of deportation to a Greek island as a danger to public security. Less than two hours after hearing Appeal Court judges uphold his appeal against three convictions each involving prison terms of more than six months, the 42-year-old composer prepared for deportation. He asked his wife, Myrto, to pack his belongings in the event of the Greek authorities charging him with being a danger to public security and ordering him to be taken to the Dodecanese island of Leros. About 2500 Greeks are detained on the islands of Leros and Yaros, in the Aegean. They were arrested last April after the army coup.
