Study Of Maori English
(N.Z. Pres» Association) AUCKLAND, January 22. Dr B. W. Bender, assistant chairman of the linguistics department of the University of Hawaii, is spending three weeks in New Zealand studying problems of spoken English among Maori children. The New Zealand Council for Education Research has engaged him as a consultant. In June and July he will return to discuss problems with teachers, administrators, and the Maori people themselves, and will visit schools.
