INTEREST IN MODEL RAILWAY ENGINES.—The finer points of a 1905 D-class locomotive and tender being explained to a young visitor to the Model Engineer Exhibition held at Seymour Hall, London. The locomotive was made by Bassett-Lowke, Ltd, a British engineering firm which is well known for its accurate models of steam railway engines. The firm stopped making models some years ago, but the recent increased demand for old models has resulted in an associate company being formed to produce them. The company hopes to be able to export as many as 1000 annually.
