NEW GRAIN TERMINAL, LONDON.—Silos being built for the new grain terminal at Tilbury. The silos’ initial storage capacity of 35,000 tons will be increased by the Port of London Authority, first to 105,000 tons and subsequently to 200,000 tons. The terminal will be able to accommodate bulk grain vessels of 45,000 to 50,000 tons, and the rate of discharge (2800 tons an hour) will be one of the highest in the world.
