Greek And U.K. Ties
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, Jan. 23.
The British Government had decided to resume normal diplomatic relations with the Greek Government of the Prime Minister, Mr George Papadolpoulos, informed sources said today. Britain’s move, which has been the subject of consultation with other member nations of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, is based on the conclusion that no new act of recognition of the Athens regime is needed. International legal authorities within the Foreign Office, after close study of the situation, appear to have taken the view that the Greek Constitution is still intact.
