DUTCH FREIGHTER ABANDONED.—The Dutch cargo ship Ocean Sprinter (1298 tons), bound for Europe from Canada with a cargo of frozen fruit, listing 20 degrees to port off St John’s, Newfoundland. The United States Coast Guard cutter Absecon rescued the 16 men on board.
