Clash In Capital Of S. Korea

SEOUL, January 22. Six North Korean agents and si(_ South Koreans were killed in incidents touched off last night when the Communists were challenged near the Presidential mansion while on a mission to assassinate Government officials, police reported today.
One Communist was captured and about 20 others were still being hunted today after the first major clash involving Communists inside the South Korean capital since the 1953 Korean armistice. Four South Koreans we-e injured. The incident began when the armed Communists, wearing civilian clothes, shot to death by machine-gun Choi Kyoo-skih, chief of Chongro police station in Seoul, as he challenged the group at a checkpoint only about half a mile from the mansion of President Chung Hee Park. The Communists then hurled several hand grenades at four passenger buses, killing three civilians and injuring two others. Two more civilians were killed in ensuing shootings.
Police task forces, which were quickly deployed in the general area, killed five Communists and captured one by noon today.
